Corey Murphy

Corey was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, and graduated from the University of Oregon in 2005 with a degree in Journalism and Communications, emphasizing Public Relations. She currently runs a nonprofit consulting firm that manages several North American organizations in the naturopathic medicine field, bringing valuable experience in nonprofit leadership and operations to the NAMI board.

NAMI holds a special place in Corey’s heart due to personal experience with mental health challenges in their family. Having a sibling who has dealt with severe mental health issues, Corey has witnessed firsthand the critical need for the services NAMI provides. Their family participated in NAMI’s Family-to-Family program, which deepened their appreciation for the organization’s mission and impact on families navigating mental health challenges.

In her free time, Corey enjoys being outdoors, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family—along with the occasional guilty pleasure of binge-watching reality TV.
