Debbie came to Alaska in 1973 to begin her satisfying elementary teaching career in St. Mary’s, a Yup’ik community off the Yukon River. She raised 3 wonderful children with her husband, Dick Fagnant, and now delights in their five creative, energetic grandchildren. Debbie joined the NAMI Juneau board in 2013, appreciating the importance of the work NJ does in our community. She is particularly committed to supporting others through family education and support programs.
